The benchmark of a successful summer camp experience and what a child remembers most about their camp experience is usually the camp’s staff members. Club SciKidz summer camps provide an exciting and safe atmosphere for children, while exploring the world of science, technology, and art. All of our camps take the job of teaching and caring for children seriously!
Club SciKidz demands that all staff positions be filled with candidates who exhibit the following characteristics:
- High work ethic (completing the job with an excellent attitude!)
- And above all … an absolute love for children, desire to make sure the camper has an unforgettable camp experience/memory, and a genuine interest in science!
Our camp day is filled with many STEM and Outdoor activities, and our classrooms are normally sold out! Our camper to staff ratio is 12:1.
AREA OPERATIONS COORDINATOR
Area Operations Coordinators provides administrative support to the Camp Directors and the camp staff. Area Coordinators ensure a seamless experience for campers and staff alike acting as role models in creating a fun and positive environment for campers. Are coordinators will:
- Create a safe, fearless and engaging learning environment for all campers.
- Act as Liaison between the facility, Site Directors, and the corporate office.
- Demonstrate what it means to provide legendary customer service.
- Promote the Club Scikidz brand in the geographical area.
- Assist with hiring and evaluating potential summer camp employees.
- Sets the tone for a work ethic for every camp employee.
Salary range: $700/wk
CAMP SITE DIRECTORS
Directors are responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the Day Camp Site, including the supervision of all camp personnel and campers. Director Candidates, along with meeting the criteria listed above, must have a college degree, experience in leadership and risk management. Directors will be accountable for following Club SciKidzs’ guidelines for operation, security, and management of inventory, as well as respecting and protecting the Club SciKidz Brand. Directors will report directly to the owners of the Club SciKidz Franchisee/Owner.
Salary range: $600/wk
SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, and ART INSTRUCTORS
Instructors are responsible for delivering our Science and Technology summer camp curriculum for campers in grades PK-8th.
This position requires remarkable individuals that will demonstrate above all their passion for children and teaching.
If you are a seasoned educator with the desire to learn new curriculum, we will provide the training and methods to develop an expertise in new subject matter. These individuals will have a great work ethic by demonstrating dependability, punctuality and dedication to the Club SciKidz Brand. We are also looking for seasoned “Experts in Their Fields”. These individuals have extensive real-world experience in our core offerings.
The ideal candidates will possess a college education and have experience and a love for working with children. All candidates must provide references, have a background check, and complete a two day in-person training program. There is also a video training program that must be completed prior to the in-person training.
Salary range: $500/wk
This is a position for high school seniors and college students. Team leaders foster enthusiasm and a team spirit as they guide PK-5th grade groups of campers to and from their sessions in Science, Technology, Art, and Outdoor adventures. Team leaders develop personal relationships with campers and assist instructors in the classroom with a boundless energy. Water balloon competitions, face painting, animal balloon creation, and group cheers are also an integral part of the Club SciKidz week. Experience working with children is very desirable.
Team leaders create a nurturing, safe, and engaging learning environment for all campers. This is an opportunity to have an positive impact on a child’s life-maybe even change the world!
Salary range: $400/wk
These individuals are typically high school students that are at least 16 years of age by the time the camp season begins. They are enthusiastic individuals that love working with children and assist with lessons, passing out supplies, helping with dismissal, assisting campers in games and outdoor activities and in general just helping the camp to run like a well oiled machine! Internships are paid and look great on any college application.
Salary Range: $8-$9/hr
You want to join the Club SciKidz staff but are not available for the entire summer?
Our substitute staff members provide support to multiple camps in a given geographical area. They fill in for absences lasting a day, a week, and sometimes longer, and are scheduled to work only when regular staff members are absent.
Salary Range: $10/hr
NOTE: ALL CLUB SCIKIDZ STAFF WILL COMPLETE A MANDATORY, COMPREHENSIVE, PAID TRAINING PROGRAM.
